Eating Disorders
A multidisciplinary, compassionate approach to eating disorder treatment in a safe and supportive environment.
Eating disorders are serious, complex conditions that require specialist, multidisciplinary care. At Cardinal Clinic, our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, and specialist nurses work together to provide a comprehensive treatment programme that addresses both the physical and psychological dimensions of recovery.
Conditions We Treat
Anorexia Nervosa
Severe restriction of food intake driven by an intense fear of weight gain and a distorted body image.
Bulimia Nervosa
Cycles of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviours such as purging, fasting, or excessive exercise.
Binge Eating Disorder
Recurrent episodes of eating large quantities of food, often rapidly and to the point of discomfort.
ARFID
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder — extreme food avoidance not driven by body image concerns.
Orthorexia
An obsessive focus on 'healthy' eating that becomes harmful to physical and mental wellbeing.
Eating Disorder with Co-morbidities
Eating disorders frequently co-occur with depression, anxiety, and OCD — our team is experienced in treating all presentations.
